Emigrated from England about 1640 to Wethersfield and removed to Stamford on May 29, 1635. Thomas Morehouse purchased 24 acres of land on Sasco Hill, in Fairfield, Connecticut, August 6, 1653, a beautiful location near the Sound and on the 16th day of August he bought of Henry Jackson the first and for many years the only Grist Mill in town. The same year he ws one of the Deputies to the General Court at Hartford.
